Mangalore Odyssey!!

Finally i made my time to write about my mangalore trip.It was one hell of a trip.,it wasen't planned before.I made my plan of goin there beacuse of the continous holidays we got on 18th & 19th of september.Just the thursday afternoon when was sitting in the class bugged thought of goin somewhere,and then finally thought of mangalore.

Well i left bangalore at around 11:15pm and the journey was pretty good till sakleshpur and then the shiradi ghats was a pain.The roads very horrible and the journey from there was bad.I reached mangalore at around 9am in the morning.Then i was feeling the humidness of mangalore.It was very much compared to that of bangalore.

From there i was accompanied by vivek and then i got my self fresh,had breakfast in the mangalore ishtyle(style) with some buns.Then from there we decided to ride along the mangalore-goa highway till udupi/manipal.We left mangalore and it was in enfield,a cool ride though.I jus felt the hot air from the sea as we were going along the coast.First got to see kudremukh iron ore company and then the manglaore port.Then we first went to surathkal beach,the ride was pretty good till then.We just spent sometime there and left.

From here on the roads were very bad though,it wasn't a smooth ride from there on.We were riding on an average speed of 90kmph,and was pretty good.For our luck the rains didn't trouble us in the morning.Then we reached kaup lighthouse beach.There we entered the place and saw the lighthouse from far.Then we went towards it,went on top and sat there for a while in the shade of the lighthouse.

We then left to manipal,the envinonment is completely different there,with the whole student student crowd,good restauraunts.....!!By the time we reached there it was afternoon and were hungry.There we slipped into Dollups restauraunt,with some good non-veg.Then the rains started,we had to stay there till the rains could stop.

The rain stop then we thought of heading back to mangalore,suddenly remembereb about the ATTUR church my friend had told me once.So was intrested in goin there so we had to take a deviation 40kms before mangalore in the highway,the road which heads towards karkala and moodbidre.This road was kind of good with not too much traffic and lush greenery on both sides.We could spot the peacocks every there and could also hear the sound of it.

Then it started driziling and sudden off heavy rains so we had to stop.We had to wait for an hour and the rains still din't stop and we thought the rains would not stop and decided to ride against the rains.It was a good experience,but at one point the rains poured drastically so had to stop.We jus had to protect all our accesories lik phone,ipod and camera etc.So we just put all those things into the bag.So again we stopped for half an hour in nitte.We jus stood some shelter opp to namit college.

Then as we waited again the rains didn't stop so again started riding against the rain.Then we reached karkala and there ATTUR CHURCH.

We then left and reached the place called bannadka before moodbidri and there was soan's farm,we just went there and had fresh pineapple juice that just gave us some strength,we were completely exhausted.It is a farm comprising of 1000 acres,in which pineapple,ginger and others are grown.Then we reached moodbidre,the rains poured even more.But we din't stop this but rode against the rains,it was good experience though riding in the heavy rains.Then finally we reached vamanjoor which was mangalore.By the time we reached it was around 7 pm and yeah it was a good day,with experiencing so many things and places.This was jus the end of first day with the exploration.Then in the night we did some night out and dinner at village restaurant with some good cocktails.This was the end of first day!!

Then the next day was bright saturday morning,we just finished our breakfast and had planned for some place in nitte by the river side,but somehow we couldn go.So jus we were roamin around mangalore city,malls,restaurants and just meet some of my friends.But in the morning we did go to thanirbhavi just sat at the beach for some time.
